Makkah Centre is an Islamic education centre in Birmingham, UK. This website (apply.makkahcentre.co.uk) is our online enrolment service. You can contact us about anything in this notice at [email protected] or on +44 7853 938840.

When you apply, we ask for your name, phone number and email address; your home address, postcode and emergency contact; each child's name, age group, gender and chosen programme; and your consent choices with a typed signature. We use this only to process your child's application and to contact you about it.

If you arrive from an advert, we also record which campaign brought you here (for example "facebook") so we know our adverts are working. This label is stored with your application and contains nothing about you personally.

Applications are stored in a secure database and sent by email to our admissions staff. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else, and nothing you type into the form is sent to Facebook or any other advertising company.

With your permission, we use one Meta (Facebook) cookie — the "Meta Pixel" — to measure how well our adverts perform. It only loads if you press Accept on the cookie banner, and you can decline it with no effect on your application. The essential workings of the site use no other cookies for tracking.

Under UK data-protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you and your children, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.
